Got a few spare hours this season? We need you!

Mt Hotham Resort Management is looking for people who are based on-mountain during the 2022 snow season for casual work in our Visitor Services team.

Our Visitor Services team advises visitors on all aspects of resort operation and information, assists with resort entry permits, car parking and/or chain fitting, operates the resort entry checkpoint, and performs some traffic management.

We can provide flexible schedules that work around lodge management work, school hours, and riding time (of course!).

We know our seasonal locals have lots of experience to share with guests, so why not get paid to share the love? We welcome anyone who is interested to get in touch with Jo Kortman, Visitor Services Manager, at JoKortman@mthotham.com.au

Annual Essential Safety Measures reports

It’s that time of year again - the annual Essential Safety Measures report is due.

This report is a summary of all the Essential Safety Measures testing that property owners have undertaken in the last 12 months.

This report is due by 31 May 2022.  Templates are on the RMB website. Please refer to your triennial building standards report for a list of applicable ESMs to report on for your property.

Please forward the completed and signed report to property@mthotham.com.au by the due date.

Throw it in the right bin!

With winter coming up fast, the RMB would like to remind everyone about the correct disposal of waste in the resort.

The RMB processes all waste within the resort, and your help using the correct disposal option helps keep processing costs down.

Please refer to the RMB website for full details of what can be disposed, and which bags to use. Additional bags can be ordered from the RMB - email info@mthotham.com.au.

If you have any questions please email the RMB. RMB officers will be reaching out to key stakeholders coming into winter 2022 to offer further education services for new staff.

Winter property preparation

Chimney cleaning

For those that have a wood-burning fireplace, please ensure your chimney/flue are cleaned prior to the commencement of the winter season. Ensure you also have a mesh fire screen in front of your fireplace.

Clean up around property

Before the snow hits the ground please ensure all construction material and other hazards are removed from/around your property. This is to ensure that there are no hidden dangers present under the snow.  Let’s keep everyone safe this winter.
