Saluting our heroes

On ANZAC Day (25 April) we honoured the more than 1.5 million service men and women who have served our country in conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations.

A local Mt Hotham identity, Lindsay Salmon, not only pioneered ski development at Mt Hotham, but also served in a secret unit that trained troops to ski in combat in the Lebanon mountains in World War 2. He later became an instructor in the “First Australian Corps Ski School”.

Lest we forget.
Free ATDW listings end 30 June 2023

Visit Victoria will re-introduce fees for ATDW business listings from 1 July 2023. Take advantage of free ATDW listings and renew yours now.

You need a coupon code to get a free, 12-month listing from the date the code is redeemed. Find out how to get your coupon code.
360 degree photography and virtual tours

Shutterfly Photography has been creating 360 degree photography and virtual tours for Mt Hotham property owners for several years, and will be visiting Mt Hotham again for property photography during 20-26 May 2023. Please contact michelle@shutterflyphoto.net for more information.

2023 Victorian Tourism Awards - nominations open

It's time to nominate your business for the 2023 Victorian Tourism Awards! Be recognised by your peers like other High Country businesses, including Mt Hotham's own Alpine Nature Experience, Gold Winner in 2019.

Nominations close 22 May 2023. If you would like to discuss the process and the benefits of entering, please contact Tourism North East's team on (03) 5728 2773 or info@tourismnortheast.com.au.

Resort signage upgrade

As part of the Resort Signage Revitalisation program, new advisory and car park signage will be rolled out through the resort prior to the start of the winter season. The aim is to reduce confusion caused by the profusion of signs that have accumulated over the years, along with a mixture of signage types.

The new signage will provide clear, consistent messaging and an improved guest experience.  In addition, verge sealing is being carried out for visitor amenity throughout the village.

Early Bird Resort Entry pricing ends soon

Mt Hotham's Early Bird pricing for Resort Entry Season Permits ends 31 May 2023, so make sure you don't miss out. After that date, the price for a 2023 Season Permit will rise from $469 to $599 (+$50 for the refundable permits).

Over summer, we also need one or two emergency contacts for your property in case of emergency. These people must be contactable during the whole of summer.
